Our service is keen to work closely with other professionals to support effective outcomes for children under our care. Good communication skills link directly with educational achievement and social and emotional well being. As a service we recognise the importance of multi-agency liaison to support families with developing opportunities to enhance their child’s communication skills.
Our specialist knowledge and skills are most effective for children when we are able to work in partnership with professionals who have close working relationships with children and their families. We offer regular training opportunities for professionals within Buckinghamshire to enhance and develop their understanding of how to recognise communication difficulties in children and use effective strategies to support children’s communication development.
We work closely with staff from a wide variety of Early Year’s settings, Primary schools, Secondary schools and F.E. colleges. We also work alongside Health Visitors, family support workers and other specialist agencies to advise on the best way to support and enhance good communication environments for children and young people. Please browse our Communication Carousel to clarify understanding of age appropriate communication skills.
