Free Secondary Training

Supporting students with speech, language and communication difficulties? We are now offering in-school training in a number of areas to equip learning support staff to help students in class and provide follow-up to SALT sessions. We have found that students receiving speech and language therapy make most progress when their key worker attends SALT sessions and they have opportunities to practice the new skills and strategies and generalise these to the classroom and social situations. We recognise that this can be tricky to organise in a busy secondary timetable but guarantee the results are worth it! The training is provided out of the hours assigned to students. Please discuss what would be most useful with your link therapist. Bespoke packages can also be delivered so if you are need of training in a particular area please talk to your link therapist or e-mail  bucksSLTtraining@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk

If you would be interested in hosting training in your school  please contact us at bucksSLTtraining@oxfordhealth.nhs.uk
